Clueless has been a source of fashion inspiration since the moment the movie came out. It's not surprising, one of the main passions of the movie's main character, Cher Horowitz, is exactly that, fashion.
Cher's looks are mostly composed of mini skirts, argyle, cardigans, knee high socks and sweaters. This particular look can be translated into today's fashion easily, as plaid is very into style at the moment.

This skirt is the perfect basis for the outfit because it takes a modern spin to Cher's own dark red plaid skirt from the movie. However, it does conserve the same tight fit and length from the original look.
